First published in 2012, a 2nd edition of The Chronological History of Shamrock Rovers by Robert Goggins has been published. The book covers the years 1899 to 2022. In addition to the updates covering the period 2013 to 2022, there is a new chapter that traces the first known mention of the club in 1899 and continues right through to the 1921/22 season when Rovers won the Leinster Senior League.

There is also a new chapter in which Robert describes how he started out in the early 1980s researching the history of the club and the difficult road he travelled at that time in getting hold of information relating to the early years of the club’s existence.

The 2nd edition of The Chronological History of Shamrock Rovers is now available at the SRFC Merchandise shop at Tallaght Stadium. It is the first book featuring the club to be published in a hardback format.

The book contains 430 pages with easy to read large type font. The hardback etails at €25. It is also available to purchase as an ebook, paperback and hardback on Amazon.
