We are delighted to confirm Savannah McCarthy has committed her future to the Club ahead of the new season.
The experienced defender heads into her second season with the Hoops having made 20 appearances across all competitions in 2023. The Kerry native made her long awaited return from a series knee injury in April last season and will be looking to hit the ground running when pre-season starts in the coming weeks.
Speaking after penning a new deal, Savannah said: ”I’m delighted to be back at Rovers for the 2024 season. I really enjoyed my first year at the Club and I can’t wait to get going again. I’m confident with the talented group of players we have in the squad that we can have a successful season and I am looking forward to playing my part.”
Head Coach Collie O’Neill said: ”I am thrilled to have Sav back in the squad. Her intelligence, leadership and composure make her an invaluable asset to the team. She exemplifies the qualities we seek in our senior players in not just coaching the younger players but also modelling the behaviours too.”
