We are delighted to confirm Jessica Hennessy has committed her future to the Club ahead of the new season.
The commanding centre-half has signed on for her second season with the Hoops having made 25 appearances across all competitions in 2023. The Westmeath native was named the Club’s Players’ Senior Player of the Year in recognition of her impressive performances throughout her debut season in Tallaght.
Speaking after penning a new deal, Jessica said: ”I’m delighted to re-sign with Shamrock Rovers for the 2024 season. Since joining Rovers last season, I have been made feel so welcome by everyone and I feel like I have really improved as a player. I was really impressed with the coaching, facilities and the professional setup within the Club. Hopefully next season we can kick on and make it a more successful season.”
Head Coach Collie O’Neill said: ”I’m happy to have Jess back for next season. Her speed, her ability to read the game and her proficiency in one-on-one defensive situations makes her an invaluable asset. She brings a level of defensive intelligence that enhances our overall team strategy.”
