Tickets for Thursday night’s Europa League Qualification tie remain on sale here and at the ticket booths on match night.

The South Stand has been sold out since last weekend; the Main Stand is just about to go ‘sold out’ leaving approx 1,800 tickets remaining in the East Stand.

Last Friday in the FAI Cup, were you pleased with how your two new signings looked and also that you could give four teenagers their senior debut?

“Yes, the two new lads did well, it was good to get them on the pitch. They are both at different stages. Dan is probably further down the road than Simon, in terms of game time, It was great to see the young boys on the pitch, a couple of them are training with us full time, so it was great to get them on and hopefully, we will see a lot more of them over the next couple of years.”

There were some good finishes on the night, especially Rory, and Aidomo, that’s 3 goals in 3 games for him now so is he full of confidence?

“He’s done really well. I have said before that the priority this year was extremely difficult for him in terms of his Leaving Certificate and obviously training full time. We were trying to balance that, and it took a lot out of him,  mentally and physically. So, it’s great to see him refreshed now. It looks like he’s really enjoying his football and in really good form.”

It’ll be Drogheda in the next round and it’s obviously a competition and trophy we have our sights on this season?

“Yes, it is a competition that we want to go and win. Drogheda away will be a tough game. We know that we lost up there in the league, but we have got a lot to focus on before that. “

What have you learned about Shkupi in preparation for the tie?

“Really interesting. Against Dinamo away they should have won the game. And against Dinamo at home, they deserved to lose by more than one goal. They can be a very dangerous team. The front four are really dangerous players, we will see that tomorrow night. So, we will need to be at our very best to go and win the tie”

Are they strong and dangerous in any particular areas that we should be wary of?

“They are very strong in the attacking part of the pitch., So we have to make sure that we’re focused and that we concentrate for 90 plus minutes tomorrow because we’re going to need to to get through the tie.”

Although we were gutted to lose to Ludogorets in the end, can we learn from that defeat and bring some momentum from the second leg performance into Thursday?

“Yes, we can learn from the tie as a whole, both the first and second legs. There were parts of the first leg that just weren’t good enough. We have to learn that. But in the second leg, I thought that we were very good, and we obviously won the game. We were gutted that we couldn’t add one or two more goals to take us through.  Overall, to do that to a team of that quality I thought that the players were excellent.”

And given our excellent home record in Europe and the electric atmosphere from last week, is everyone excited for yet another big night in Tallaght?

“Hopefully, we can get another sell-out, the crowds have been fantastic. They are a big reason why our home record in Europe in recent seasons is so good. When it’s like that it is intimidating and hostile for other teams to come and play, and our players feed off that energy, so hopefully another sell-out tomorrow night. “

Injuries:

“Simon Power is a doubt as he picked up an injury on Monday in training, Pico (Roberto Lopes) is obviously out for a number of weeks and Jack (Byrne) is 50:50”.
